Welcome to Ocean Oasis

I can’t believe it’s already fall! This summer flew by as Marnie Custom Homes continues to work on so many exciting projects. For those following our builds and interior design work, I’m sharing another “Shop This” post, detailing the furnishings and selections for one of our most recent luxury beach retreats: Ocean Oasis.

If you love Serena & Lily, then you’ll love this five bedroom, seven bath oceanfront beach home located in South Bethany. With a bright and sophisticated beach vibe, the 3,700 sq ft custom home features custom built ins, ceiling detail and shiplap accents with as many windows as possible to take in the ocean view.

In order to establish a feeling of peace and tranquility, I designed the main color scheme to be white in a variety of shades as well as textures to add dimension. The bright white gourmet kitchen is an entertainers dream, with two refrigerators and six freezer drawers all hidden behind white maple cabinets. Plus, a full butlers pantry for extra storage. Crisp white quartz countertops, glass cabinets and gold pendants add a touch of coastal elegance.

The kitchen and great rooms were made to feel distinct by creating different ceilings even though they share an open floor plan. I designed a bar in the great room as it’s a natural way to shift everyone away from the kitchen island in order to space out the flow of entertaining.

The home’s unique exterior design is accentuated by NuCedar siding with a bright front door and charming window flower boxes—one of my favorite design tips. On the ocean side, two decks and a large screened in porch offer multiple areas to take in the gorgeous ocean view.
