Sitting on a corner canal lot in South Bethany, Between Two Tides has a classic New England-style exterior with a bright, relaxed coastal interior. Inside, we chose traditional coastal colors of blues, natural wood, and lots of white to keep everything light and calming, while oversized lighting, arched openings, and some really fun tile give the house plenty of personality.
Design Highlights:
– The real wow moment is upstairs. We flipped the floor plan and moved the main living spaces upstairs, which let us create 15-foot vaulted ceilings throughout the kitchen, dining, and living areas. With ceilings that high, we really leaned into the scale with beams, skylights, an extra-tall range hood, and oversized lighting.
– The three pendants over the island are gorgeous, but the statement cocoa bead chandelier over the dining table is a showstopper!
– One of our favorite features is the indoor/outdoor bar. The huge pass-through window opens at the touch of a button, connecting the kitchen directly to the screened porch. We added a natural wood counter with a waterfall edge and seating on both sides. It’s such a great setup for entertaining.
– Outside, the corner lot gives us water on two sides, so we really wanted to take advantage of it. There’s a custom bar overlooking the canal, a screened porch with built-in heaters, and multiple outdoor living areas. It’s set up for year-round entertaining.
