I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday and are refreshed and recharged for 2022. As we move into the new year, I’m sharing another “Shop This” post, detailing the furnishings and selections for one of our most recent luxury beach retreats: Paradise Point. As you’ll see, the location of this home is extremely unique and I hope it provides inspiration for endless waterfront living possibilities.

Located in Fenwick Island, DE, Paradise Point is a 2,900-square feet bayfront home with panoramic views that evoke feelings of literally living on a boat! The house sits on a peninsula, so in terms of design, we wanted to ensure each room was architecturally appealing, not just from the inside, but also outside from the water.

With this house so close to the water, you may think there are major flooding concerns; however, everything is above base flood elevation. As a backup, all building materials on the first floor are completely waterproof with elevated electrical work. In addition, we installed flood vents on the first floor to minimize structural damage.

A color palette of classic blues and crisp whites run throughout the home with random-width white oak floors in a custom white stain for that coastal look. A large, glass, multi-glide door directly off of the kitchen captures amazing bay views. The kitchen also features extra thick porcelain countertops, a blue island with matching blue front glass cabinets, and a gorgeous glass mosaic backsplash that glistens in the sunlight.

One of our favorite features of this home is our first-ever crab shack! An indoor/outdoor space that can be hosed down after use—ideal for large crab feasts.

Paradise Point is certainly a special place where you can gaze into the bay and wash your worries away.

Marnie surprised the homeowners with the ceiling design. She mimicked the diamond grill pattern from the windows onto the ceiling.
