Proudly featured in the 2021 Beach and Bay Cottage Tour, this 5,770-square-foot oceanfront beach home has six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms with a mix of both traditional and contemporary interior design styles. With homeowners in general spending more time at their beach homes, this one is designed for year-round living with a full office, home gym, and of course a bar!
Using the ocean backdrop as our color palette, we pulled in blue, white, and neutral tones for the interior’s aesthetic for a classic coastal color scheme. The kitchen, living room, and dining area are all designed as one open concept living space on the second floor with the bedrooms located on the third floor. The porcelain fireplace surround in the great room adds a modern coastal vibe, while the grasscloth ceiling design and light fixture bring warmth to the space. Sliding doors lead to a screened-in porch overlooking the ocean – the perfect spot to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee.
The lower level rec room is set among the dunes and was designed for multi-generational use, including playing ping pong, watching movies, enjoying the home bar, or breaking a sweat in the home gym. It’s also a perfect respite for a rainy day or to cool off after a day at the beach. A classic beach mural creates the ideal backdrop in this space.
